The UK to Stop Offering Financial Subsidies to Newly Built Renewable Energy Project after 2025

According to the Treasury of the UK, the UK would no longer provide financial subsidies to newly built renewable energy projects after 2025 to protect the interests of consumers. They estimated that by 2025, the subsidies put into the wind power, solar power and nuclear power projects under operation would reach 9 billion pounds (or about 79.9 billion yuan) per year. The renewable energy industry in the UN expressed their disappointment at the decision made by the government. (Source: The Guardian)
